Bangladesh and Switzerland will hold talks here on Sunday to explore a number of new areas of possible cooperation like renewable energy, and discuss ways to further strengthen economic, investment and development ties.
The second round of the bilateral political consultation between the two countries will also review their current status of relations, said an official.
Additional Secretary (bilateral) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Ambassador Mizanur Rahman and Assistant State Secretary of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ambassador Johannes Matyassy will lead their respective delegations at the consultation.
Apart from reviewing the current status of bilateral relations, the two countries will discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation on all fronts, including cultural cooperation during the consultations.
The two sides will also exchange views on human rights and issues of regional and international importance.
Ambassador Matyassy, the leader of the Swiss delegation, arrived here on Friday on a four-day visit to attend the meeting.
