The number of students from Bangladesh in the United States increased by 9.7 percent to 7,143 in 2016-17, beating the international average increase of 3.4 percent, according to the 2017 Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange.
Bangladesh became a top-25 student-sending country for international students studying in the United State for the 2016-2017 school year. The number of Bangladeshi students studying in the US has increased by 53.5 percent over the past five years, according to the report shared by the
US Embassy in Dhaka on Tuesday.
