Having the highest CGPA (4.00 out of 4.00) as well as the first position in faculty in Ankara University’s 2018-2019 postgraduate examination, Saeyd Rashed Hasan Chowdury achieved the Most Meritorious Student Award-2019 (EnBasariliÖgrenciÖdülü 2019) from the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the first Bangladeshi. He got admitted to Ankara University in 2016-2017 with a Turkish government scholarship.
The Turks Abroad and Related Communities Presidency (YTB) organized the 8th Convocation of the Turkish Government Scholarship on July 3 in Ankara. Nearly 2,000 foreign students from 182 different countries participated in this Convocation. In the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavusoglu, Ytb minister Abdullah Eren, Minister of Tourism and Culture Mehmet Ersoy, Chairman of the University Grants Commission Prof Dr Mehmet Ali Yekta Saraj, Chairman of the National Defence Commission and former Education Minister Ismat Ilmaz, Communication Adviser of President Prof Fahrettin Altun, Former prime minister and the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Binali Yildirim, Bangladeshi Ambassador to Turkey M Allama Siddiki and different ministries, MPs, Ambassadors and high-ranking officials took in the chair this program..
Rashed Chowdury completed a Master of Arts degree in 2015 from the University of Dhaka with CGPA 4.00 out of 4.00 and stood first in his Masters of Arts Examination. Due to his outstanding performance in postgraduate level among the faculties of the University of Dhaka, he has achieved the Dean’s Merit list of Excellence award. Likewise, he achieved the Dr Syed M. Saidur Rahman Al Mahbubi Gold Medal, 2015 from the President of Bangladesh. Rashed Chowdury has also completed his Bachelor of Arts from the same department. Likewise, due to his outstanding performance in the university, he achieved the Dean’s Merit list of Honors award the faculty of Arts, University of Dhaka. Bangladesh.
He has achieved the Gold Medal from the Kirsehir Metropolitan Municipality, Turkey with international student’s competition in 2017. In 2017, he did research on his field at the University of Gdansk in Poland for a month. In 2018, He achieved the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), 2018 Summer School program at the University of Erfurt in Germany. In the same year, he has presented his research paper at Gottingen University in Germany. He attended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)’s Youth Media Capacity Building Summer Conference & Camp 2018. Meanwhile, his research papers have been published in international journals, conference papers, and books in Turkey, the UK, Germany, Cyprus, Poland, Netherlands, Bosnia, and Hungary.
However, He is a Director (Program) as well as School coordinator of Religion and Humanity Studies of the Center for research and Policy studies (CenRaPS). He is a Senior Research Fellow of “Research Center of Civilization, Social Science and Humanity Studies” in Turkey. He has interviewed prominent Television channels and daily newspapers like TRT television, Alta’s television, Natural Television, Daily Star, Milliyet newspaper, Türkiye Newspaper, Haber7, and Timeturk news.
Rashed is the eldest son of Saeyd Mohammad Ali Hossain Chowdury and Hasina Begum of Kamalnagar upazila of Lakshmipur. He is asking blessings and prays from everyone to continue his work for humanity and achieve higher education in the future.
