SA dismissed for 367: BD struggle

Hosts South Africa were dismissed for 367 in the first innings of the first Test against Bangladesh on the second day at Kingsmead in Durban of South Africa on Friday.
In reply, Bangladesh struggled to score 98 runs for the loss of four wickets at the close of the second day play (Friday). Now
Bangladesh trail by 269 runs.
They had a shaky start as opener Shadman Islam (9) was bowled out by Simon Harmer when Bangladesh’s score was 25.
After Shadman’s departure, Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Najmul Hossain Shanto repaired the damage adding together 55 runs for the second wicket partnership before Shanto was bowled out by Harmer when Bangladesh’s total was 80 for the loss of two wickets.
Shanto made 38 from 87 balls featuring two fours and two sixes.
After Shanto’s dismissal, Mominul Haque (0) was caught at the mid-off by Keegan Petersen off Harmer when the tourists’ score was 80 for the loss of three wickets.
Then, Mushfiqur Rahim (7) was caught behind by wicketkeeper Verreynne off Harmer when the visitors’ total was 94 for the loss of four wickets.
Mahmudul Hasan Joy remained unbeaten with 44, while Taskin Ahmed remained with naught.
Harmer captured four wickets in the space of 42 runs.
South Africa resumed their first innings with the over-night score of 233 for the loss of four wickets.
Temba Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne resumed their innings with the over-night score of 53 and 27 runs respectively.
Kyle Verreynne could able to add just one run on the second day as he was trapped leg before wicket by Khaled Ahmed when the hosts’ total was 245 for the loss of five wickets.
After Kyle’s dismissal, Wiaan Mulder (0) was caught at the gully by Mahmudul Hasan Joy off Khaled Ahmed when the home side’s score was 245 for the loss of six wickets.
Then, Temba Bavuma and Keshav Maharaj mended the innings adding together 53 runs in the seventh wicket stand before Bavuma was bowled out by Mehidy Hasan Miraz when the African side’s total was 298 for the loss of seven wickets.
Bavuma was deprived from a century for just seven runs. He notched up a marvelous 93. His 190-ball innings was laced with 12 fours.
After Bavuma’s removal, Keshav Maharaj (19) was bowled out by pacer Ebadot Hossain when the hosts’ score was 298 for the loss of eight wickets.
After Keshav’s departure, Lizaad Williams was caught at the gully by Mahmudul Hasan Joy when South Africa’s total was 332 for the loss of nine wickets.
Then, Mehidy Hasan Miraz struck as Duanne Olivier (12) was trapped leg before wicket by Bangladesh off-spinner when South Africa’s innings came to an end.
Simon Harmer remained unbeaten with 38 runs.
Khaled Ahmed captured four wickets at the cost of 92 runs, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz grabbed three wickets in the space of 94 runs and Ebadot Hossain bagged two wickets for 86 runs.
