Bangladesh has offered the West African country of Guinea Bissau, quality goods from Bangladesh at affordable prices.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Portugal, Tarik Ahsan, termed trade between the two countries as not being up to its full potential, according to a press release.
In an audience with President Embalo, the Ambassador also suggested that Guinea Bissau consider accrediting at least a non-resident ambassador to Bangladesh to maintain regular bilateral contact.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Portugal, Tarik Ahsan, also presented his credentials to the President of Guinea Bissau, Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embalo, in the capital city Bissau on Tuesday, as the non-resident Ambassador to that country with residence in Lisbon and raised these issues.
Ambassador Ahsan also suggested that both countries can cooperate and exchange best practices, particularly in rural development and agriculture. He further urged Guinea Bissau to work with Bangladesh at multilateral fora on the common issue of climate change.
