Bangladesh scored 153 for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs against India in the second Twenty20 International cricket match at Rajkot in India on Thursday.
Bangladesh made an auspicious start as openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim put on together 60 runs in the opening stand before Liton was run out by wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant.
Liton made 29 from
21 balls featuring four fours.
After dismissal of Liton, Naim was caught at the deep mid-wicket by Shreyas Iyer off Washington Sundar when Bangladesh’s score was 83 for the loss of two wickets.
Naim notched up a sparkle 36. His 31-ball innings saw five fours.
Second-down Mushfiqur Rahim (4) was caught at the mid-wicket by Krunal Pandya off Yuzvendra Chahal when the visitor’s total 97 for the loss of three wickets.
One-down Soumya Sarkar was stumped out by wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant off Yuzvendra Chahal when the tourists’ total was 104 for the loss of four wickets.
Soumya hit a fine 30 from 20 balls including two fours and a sixer.
Number-Six Afif Hossain ( 6) was caught at the cover by Rohit Sharma off Khaleel Ahmed when Bangladesh’s score 128 for the loss of five wickets.
Mahmudullah was caught at the third-man by Shivam Dube off Deepak Chahar when the touring side’s total was 142 for the loss of six wickets.
Mahmudullah scored 30 from 21 balls with four fours.
Chahal bagged a couple of wickets for 28 runs, while Washington, Chahar and Khaleel took one wicket each.
