Bangladesh will face South Africa in the second Test match at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontien of South Africa today. The match starts at 2.00 pm (BDT). GTV will telecast the match live.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost to South Africa by 333 runs in the first Test match at Potchefstroom in South Africa on October 2.
Bangladesh have to win in the second Test to level the two-Test series. On the other hand, South Africa need just a draw to win the series.
Though world’s best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has taken rest for the two-Test series against South Africa, but he spoke at a press conference on Thursday.
Shakib said, ” Hoping that Bangladesh will perform well in the second Test match. South Africa is a challenging place. It is challenging for every team to play South Africa. Bangladesh played in South Africa in 2008. After almost 10 years, Bangladesh team are touring South Africa. Most of the cricketers have no experience to play there. So, the players have to struggle there. But, hoping that the players will be bounce back and bring a good result.”
Meanwhile, dashing opener Tamim Iqbal cannot take part in the 2nd Test due to injury, which is a bad news for Bangladesh team.
On the other hand, promising pacer Kagiso Rabada may be the main threat for Bangladesh. He grabbed 92 wickets in 21 Test matches.
Rabada said, ” When I play countries like Bangladesh, I want to execute the condition of home. And the condition will be an advantage for me.”
