A two-day ‘Bangladesh Planning Research Conference’ was concluded in the seminar room of Jahir Raihan auditorium at Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Saturday.
JU Urban and Regional Planning (URP) Department organized the conference. Former chairman of University Grants Commission Prof Dr. Nazrul Islam inaugurated it on Friday as the chief guest.
Chairman of URP Department, Dr. M. Shafiqur Rahman, JU Vice-Chancellor, Pro Dr. Farzana Islam, Pro-VC, Prof Dr. Abul Hossain, Treasurer, Prof Dr. Abul Khair and Member of Bangladesh Planning Commission Prof Dr. Shamsul Alam, addressed the function as special guests.
As many as 51 key-note papers were presented on different topics including communication management, citizen charter, disaster management and poverty alleviation in the conference.
