BD participates in Korea World Travel Fair

Bangladesh pavilion has won the ‘Best Booth Operation Award 2018’ out of 55 pavilions from 35 countries for its exceptional holistic presentation in the 33rd Korean World Travel Fair-2018 (KOTFA) held in Seoul recently.
The successful participation of Bangladesh in the KOTFA-2018 is expected to create a momentum and encourage more Korean as well as foreign tourists to visit Bangladesh in the coming days, said the Bangladesh Embassy in Seoulon Monday. KOTFA authority has handed over a crest to the Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) authority in this regard.
BTB, Dhaka in association with the Embassy of Bangladesh, in Seoul, has participated in this fair from June 14 – 17.
Joint Secretary Abu Bakar Siddiqui from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism led a five-member Bangladesh delegation to this Fair.
Three private tour operators also attended this Fair.
Since 2012 Bangladesh has been regularly participating in this Fair
KOTFA Chairman Shin Jung Mok along with the Ambassadors of all the participating countries officially inaugurated this fair on June 14.
Later on, KOTFA Chairman along with all the Ambassadors visited the pavilions of different countries.
During their visit to Bangladesh Pavilion Ambassador of Bangladesh Abida Islam welcomed them with traditional Bangladeshi handicrafts.
Representative from the BTB and officials from the Embassy were also present at that time.
The visiting dignitaries deeply appreciated the attractive decoration of Bangladesh Pavilion.
Bangladesh also participated in a cultural show on June 14 arranged by KOTFA at the auditorium of COEX Hall where traditional dances and songs were performed to represent the country.
