Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the 1st Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today. The match will start at 10.00am (Bangladesh Standard Time). State-owned television BTV, private satellite channel GTV and private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match everyday.
Before today’s Test match, Bangladesh faced Pakistan in 11 Test matches. Of them, Pakistan won 10 ten times, while one Test ended in a draw.
Captain of Bangladesh Test team Mominul Haque said, ” It is challenge for a Captain when the senior players cannot take part in the game. I shall face the absence of senior players. Shakib Bhai, Tamim Bhai and Taskin Bhai are regular players for Test matches. I shall face tough task without presence of them. As a young Captain I shall face challenge.”
Mominul said, ” If we think that without presence of senior players, we cannot perform well, it is not true. The youngsters have to play with responsibility. The junior players get chance to prove their ability. The players who will play in the first and second Test, they have to advance after showing their accountability.”
Captain of Pakistan team Babar Azam said, ” I am confident with my players. Before taking part this Test, we played against West Indies, Zimbabwe and South Africa. So, we become a combined team. I hope we shall perform in the Test Championship.”
Babar said, ” After playing some matches our team turn in a good shape. There are some experienced players in our squad.”
He said, ” Bangladesh are tough opponents at home. We shall not take them lightly. Bangladesh have advantage that they play at home and have chances that they will play in their familiar conditions. The conditions can make a difference between the two teams.
