Bangladesh is on the right track economically and the government has started taking preparation for the country’s graduation to middle income country from Least Developed Country (LDC), said commerce minister Tofail Ahmed.
“We’re taking preparation as the country is going to graduate from LDC. It will get Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) after the graduation. The government is signing bilateral trade agreement with the countries which are not giving us SGP facility,” said the commerce minister while taking to journalists after a meeting with Mia Seppo, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Bangladesh.
While focusing on the outcome of the meeting Tofail said Mia Seppo congratulated Bangladesh in advance as the country is going to graduate from LDC soon.
