The bilateral relation of Bangladesh and Nepal get new dimension after the Chief of Army Staff (CAS) of Bangladesh General Aziz Ahmed, SBP, BSP, BGBM, PBGM, BGBMS, psc, G’s Nepal visit.
During the visit CAS handed over the President and Prime Minister well wishes. CAS also expressed gratitude to the Nepal government for recognized Bangladesh in 1972. At the same time he also memorized the contribution of Nepal government during famine which spread over newly independent Bangladesh.
Nepalese leader also memorized the hearty contribution of Bangladesh to Nepal, especially in 2015 help when Nepal faced severe natural disaster, earthquake. They also emphasized to the bilateral communication, hydropower and people to people interaction.
General Aziz Ahmed also met with Nepal Army Chief General Purna Chandra Thapa. During the meeting of two general they agreed to enhance two country’s army relation by organizing joint military training, exchange of training, specialist trainers’ exchange.
Two military chiefs also agreed to tackle disaster, militancy, joint work at UN peace keeping mission.
