A Bangladeshi national was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Char Kanaipara border area in Godagari upazila early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, 30, son of Kadam Ali of the area and a cattle trader.
Abu Farhad, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station, said BSF troops
opened fire on Kalam he went to the area for bringing cattle, leaving him injured.
He was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead, said the OC.
