UNB, Dhaka : Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Mumbai on Monday observed the National Mourning Day and 41st martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due solemnity. Special prayers were offered seeking salvation and eternal peace of the departed souls of the Father of the Nation and other members of his family who were assassinated on the black night of August 15, 1975. Messages issued by President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali were read out, while a discussion session on Bangabandhu was held, according to message received here. Deputy High Commissioner Samina Naz, chief protocol officer and principal secretary, Maharashtra Sumit Mullick and former Chief of the Naval Staff of India Admiral Vishnu Bhagwat were present.
