Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the second and final Twenty20 International Cricket match at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today. The match begins at 5.00 pm. GTV will telecast the match live from the venue.
Captain of Bangladesh team Mahmudullah Riyad said, ” We were hopeful to win the Tri-Nation ODI series and also Test series. But, we could not perform our best in three departments. Sometimes batsmen played well but the
bowlers failed to perform their best. Sometimes the bowlers did their job accurately, but the batsmen failed to perform. We have now only one match. We want to win tomorrow to avoid the series defeat.”
Riyad said, ” We are trying to motivate us and we are discussing about our mistakes. I hope that we shall perform good in the new venue.”
He said, ” Everything depends on wicket. So, the toss is vital. But we are now not thinking about toss. We want to perform in all departments (batting, bowling, fielding). We want to win in the last match.”
Coach of Sri Lanka Chandika Hathurusingha said, ” Bangladesh made a good start in the Tri-Nation ODI series. They know how to play under pressure. But, some of them failed to perform well. So, there is a lacking of confidence.”
He said, ” I wish Bangladesh. I want to watch that they will perform well. I want to see players of Bangladesh go forward.”
