Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the second Test match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur today. The match will start at 10.00am. Private satellite channel GTV and private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the arena. Earlier, the first Test match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka ended in a tame draw at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on May 19.
The two Test matches between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are the part of ICC World Test Championship.
Sri Lanka have achieved the fifth position of the points table of the ICC World Test Championship bagging 28 points five matches, while Bangladesh have taken the eighth position with 16 points from seven matches.
Captain of Bangladesh Test team Mominul Haque said, ” We get a chance to win the Test series. But everything depends on the members of Bangladesh Cricket team how they look the opportunity.”
Mominul said, ” We don’t want to keep ourselves all the same. I think we have a good chance to win the series. We have to forget about the Chattogram Test. We have to think newly about the opportunity. If we can perform as a team in the second Test, the result of the Test will come to in favour of us.”
He said, ” If the Test match takes place at Mirpur or out of the country, there is an opportunity to win always. If we consider the condition, we have a great chance to win. There is an opportunity to win always, and we have now a good chance to win.”
He also said, ” Maximum time there will be a result in Mirpur. Eighther win or loss. It is a tough task to say when a Test match ended in a draw in Mirpur last. Most of the time the Test matches will be decided in a win or loss. Bowling is very important, and batting also. We shall make a plan to win the match.”
The Bangladesh skipper said, ” There is a good condition in Mirpur. But everything depends on the weather. I think there will be a good weather during the Mirpur Test.”
