bdnews24.com :Speakers at a seminar have emphasised policies that will help create skilled manpower for sustainable and inclusive development and ensure Bangladesh’s economic stability.Former ILO director Muhammad Moktada in his keynote said Bangladesh’s biggest challenge was unemployment and unskilled manpower.”Effective policies are needed to create skilled manpower. Stability in the economic sector is also needed,” he told the seminar jointly organised by ILO and Bangladesh Bank on Thursday.ILO Country Director Srinivas Reddy said Bangladesh’s problems were unskilled manpower and risky industrial factories.They together contributed to a fall in production, he said.Reddy emphasised increasing efficiencies of workers and provide them with safe working environment. He said the policymakers should consider these things if they were to modernise the economy.
