‘BD-India strategic partnership to be strengthened’

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami paid a courtesy call on Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury at latter’s office at the Secretariat.
The minister in the meeting held on Thursday briefed the Indian envoy on various plans undertaken by his ministry for land management and its digitization, a Press Information Department (PID) press release said.
Praising the various initiatives of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Saifuzzaman expressed his firm conviction that the strategic, trade and global partnership between the two neighbouring countries would further be strengthened.
Doraiswami lauded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s strong leadership in the rapid industrialization and development of Bangladesh.
He congratulated the land minister for winning ‘United Nations Public Service Award-2020″.
He also praised digitization activities of land management in Bangladesh.
Additional Secretary of the Land Ministry Md Masud Karim was also present there.
