Bangladesh Hockey team reached Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia on Monday to take part in the Hero Asia Cup Hockey.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups will compete in the first phase of the hockey meet.
Bangladesh, Oman, Malaysia and South Korea have been billed in Group-B, while India, Pakistan, Japan and Indonesia have been placed in Group-A.
The Hero Asia Cup Hockey, which is scheduled to be held in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia from May 23 to June 1.
Bangladesh will take on South Korea on May 23, meet Oman on May 24, face Malaysia on May 26.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh Hockey team became runners-up in the Asian Games Hockey Qualifiers at Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand on May 15. Reazul Karim Babu led the Bangladesh Hockey team in Bangkok, but Khorshedur Rahman will lead the Bangladesh Hockey team in Jakarta.
