Members of Bangladesh Football team returned home from Maldives on Sunday. Bangladesh team went to Maldives on September 28 to take part in the SAFF Championship. Though Bangladesh’s target was to play in the final but they could not do that due to controversial decision of the referee. Bangladesh finished fourth in the SAFF Championship. Meanwhile, India emerged the champions in the SAFF Championship defeating Nepal by two goals to nil. India clinched the SAFF Championship for the eight times. On the other hand, Bangladesh became champions in the SAFF Championship for just one time.
