A Bangladeshi film director has been detained in Kuala Lumpur for his alleged involvement in human trafficking in the name of arranging a cultural programme in Malaysia.
Malaysian police detained film director Annya Mamun along with his associate Miraz around 5:30pm (local time) on Sunday, reports agency.
Mamun went to Malaysia along with 57 people including singers from Bangladesh in the name of arranging a cultural function name “Cinematic Bangladeshi Nights”.
