BD envoy presents credentials to Peru President

Masud Bin Momen, Bangladesh’s permanent representative to the UN and the Bangladesh envoy to Peru with residence in New York on Tuesday presented his credentials to President of Peru Pedro Pablo Kuczynski at the Presidential Palace in Lima.
Prior to presentation of his credentials, Ambassador Masud attended the ceremonial ‘Guard of Honor’.
Ambassador Masud greeted the President of Peru for the acceptance of his credentials and conveyed the best wishes of the President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh to the President of Peru.
He stated that Bangladesh is keen in promoting friendly relations with Peru based on shared values of democracy, development and social justice.
He stressed that the geographic barrier should never stand in the way of growing friendship and promoting trade relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador applauded Peru’s achievements in social and economic sectors particularly in socio-economic development under his leadership.
He briefed the President the recent economic progress of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
