Bangladesh team finished 2nd runners-up securing 14 medals, including five gold in the 2nd Kathmandu International Kyorugi and Poomsae Taekwondo Championships held recently at the Dasarath Rangasala gymnasium in the Nepalese capital.
Hosts Nepal emerged champions in the four-day meet participated by some 1,200 players from 13 countries.
The Bangladeshi gold medal winners are Mohammad Masum Khan of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in 87-kg fight, Ujjal Kumar Dev in 74-kg fight, Humayan Kabir (BGB) in 80-kg fight, Jan-e-Alam (BGB) in +87-kg fight and Jesmin Akter in 53-kg fight.
