Bangladesh Under-20 Football team played a goalless draw with stronger Bahrain Under-20 Football team in their Group-B match of the AFC Under-20 Qualifiers at Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium in Bahrain on Saturday night. Thus, Bangladesh snatched valuable one point from Bahrain.
Hosts Bahrain dominated the match against Bangladesh. Bahrain had 64% ball possession, while Bangladesh had 36% ball possession.
Hosts Bahrain created at least five opportunities. On the other hand, Bangladesh got only one notable chance.
Bangladesh missed their lone chance when they got a corner but failed to convert it.
In the last 20 minutes of the match Bahrain created pressure but failed to broke the defence of the tourists Bangladesh.
Bangladesh will face Bhutan on September 12. The Red-and-Green outfit will meet Qatar on September 16, while Bangladesh will take on Nepal on September 18. A total of 44 teams splitting into eight groups are taking part in the AFC Under-20 Qualifiers. The champions of the each group and best five runners-up and hosts Uzbekistan will play in the final round.
