‘Bangladesh Cultural Festival’ will be held in Russia from September 10 to 17 with the slogan ‘Hand to Hand, Heart to Heart.’
The festival will take place in Moscow and Saint Petersburg under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Bangladesh and Russia on January 15 in 2013, said an official release here on Wednesday.
On this occasion, a 60-member cultural delegation led by Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor will go to Russia.
The delegation will include 10 officials, one journalist, three singers, 29 dancers, two dance directors and 10 musical instrument players.
The singers are Mamtaz Begum, Priyanka Gop and ASM Shafi Mandal. Shamim Ara Nipa and Shibli Mohammad are dance directors.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Deputy Director Shamima Aktar will act as coordinator of the cultural team.
The programme of Bangladesh delegation includes a performance at Sokolniki Park on September 13 and Maly Theatre on September 14 in Moscow.
The delegation will leave for Saint Petersburg on September 16.
