BD cricketers take part in practice

Cricketers of Bangladesh took part in their practice sessions at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur on Sunday. The cricketers also participated in the training session at the BCB-NCA Ground, which is adjacent to the SBNCS. Members of Bangladesh Cricket team arrived in Dhaka from Zimbabwe on July 29. After that they took a three-day quarantine at the InterContinental Dhaka. Bangladesh team will play five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the touring Australia. The five T20Is will be held at the SBNCS on August 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9. All the matches will start at 6.00pm.
The Shakib-Mahmudullah Co started their practice session from 10.00am to 1.30pm. Their practice was stopped for a short time as rain interrupted their training session. The first day practice session was held under the supervision of Head Coach of Bangladesh team Russell Domingo. The cricketers took part in fielding at the SBNCS. They did their bowling and batting at the BCB-NCA Ground. The cricketers took part in their net session at the BCB-NCA Ground.
Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman could play one ODI match and one T20I match against Zimbabwe due to injury. But the pacer did bowling at the BCB-NCA Ground on Sunday.
Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das could not play in the upcoming Australia series. Thus Bangladesh team have to play five-match T20I series against Australia without the three key weapons of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh team played against Australia in the ICC World T20 at the SBNCS in 2014. The red-and-green outfit tasted a seven-wicket defeat to Australia in that match. Bangladesh cricketers are determined to give fight against Australia. The players of Bangladesh showed hard determination in their practice sessions yesterday.
