BD Cricketers get rhythm in Zimbabwe

Cricketers of Bangladesh got rhythm in Zimbabwe in the recently concluded two-day practice match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe Selected XI at Harare of Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh showed a perfect batting performance as they piled up 313 for the loss of two wickets before they declared their first innings and then bundled out Zimbabwe Selected XI for 202 runs. Bangladesh scored 22 for the loss of none before the bails were drawn for the final day. Tamim Iqbal remained unbeaten with 18.
Though the game ended in a tame draw but the Tigers dominated their opponents in batting and bowling departments.
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan showed an all-round performance in the warm-up match. Shakib made a windy 74 from 56 balls featuring 14 fours and a sixer. He was retired not out and played 81 minutes before he returned to the pavilion after playing a sparkle performance. Later, Shakib Al Hasan captured three wickets at the cost of 34 runs. Opener Saif Hasan knocked a painstaking 65 using 108 deliveries with 13 fours and a six. He was retired not out and he stayed at the crease 149 minutes before he returned to the pavilion.
One-down Najmul Hossain Shanto shone with the willow. He hit a patient 52 using 107 deliveries including seven fours and two sixes. Shanto was retired not out and he stayed at the crease 144 minutes before he returned to the dressing room. Mahmudullah Riyad remained unbeaten with 40. He hit eight fours in his 71-ball innings.
Liton Das knocked a calm 37 utilizing 82 balls. He hit four fours in his 101-minute knock. He was also retired not out.
Mominul Haque scored a 29 from 77 balls including one four and one six.
Right-arm spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed three wickets in the space of 64 runs.
Promising pacer Shoriful Islam picked up two wickets instead of 33 runs.
Pacers Taskin Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain took one wicket each for 20 and 25 runs respectively.
If we analyse the performance of Bangladesh batsmen and bowlers we can expect that the Tigers will dominate Zimbabwe in the lone Test match, which will be held at Harare Sports Club Ground in Harare from tomorrow. The first day match will start at 1.30pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
