The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) offered the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to send Bangladesh Cricket team in Pakistan to play two Test matches and three Twenty20 International (T0I) matches against Pakistan.
In reply, BCB stated that they could send Bangladesh team to play three Twenty20 International matches against Pakistan in Pakistan. BCB was not interested to send Bangladesh team due to unsteady security system and unstable situation of Pakistan.
Then PCB replied that it is interested to stage two Test matches between Bangladesh and Pakistan in their home ground.
But BCB said, It would send their team to play three T20Is against Pakistan.
It may be mentioned that former captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Mushfiqur Rahim refused to play in Pakistan.
However, BCB at a board meeting in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday last discussed about this matter.
After the meeting, BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon told the reporters that we did not send our team in Pakistan due to the unstable situation of Middle East.
He added that we are not interested to send our team for a long time in Pakistan for present situation.
He also added that our team could play just three T20I matches against Pakistan in their home ground.
Hassan said, ” We want that may cricket come back in Pakistan. But Test and T20I is not same. Three T20I matches maximum take 120 overs. On the other hand, Two Test matches maximum take 900 overs. After playing T20I matches, our team can observe the security system of Pakistan. If the security system can satisfy our players, then we shall send our team to Pakistan to play test matches.”
