Members of Bangladesh Cricket team reached Muscat, the capital city of Oman in the early morning of Monday. The flight of Bangladeshi cricketers made delay due to cyclone Shaheen. Bangladesh Cricket team went to Oman to compete in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup qualifiers.
After reaching Muscat, the members of Bangladesh Cricket team went to a hotel near the Persian Gulf. The cricketers have entered the bio-secure bubble environment. They took a one-day quarantine on Monday. They will start their practice session from today. Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and ‘Cutter Boy’ Mustafizur Rahman are now staying in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as they are playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). After completing their IPL campaign, Shakib and Mustafiz will join Bangladesh squad.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Russell Domingo and the other coaching staff of Bangladesh Cricket team will join the squad soon.
Liton Das and his wife left Dhaka for Oman on September 29.
During one-day quarantine members of Bangladesh Cricket team undergo Covid-19 test. If they become negative for coronavirus test, they will take part in their four-day long practice sessions. After that they will go to the UAE on October 9. Bangladesh will play two warm-up matches there. Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the first warm-up match on October 12. Bangladesh will face Ireland in the second warm-up match on October 14. After taking part in the warm-up matches, Bangladesh will return to Oman to compete in the qualifiers. Bangladesh will take on Scotland on October 17, face Oman on October 19 and play against Papua New Guinea on October 21.
