The former Mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation and BNP Vice-Chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka’s health condition is unchanged.
He is currently under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, New York.
Khoka is being given high level of oxygen and he might be kept on life support anytime.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Consulate in New York has informed the family of former Mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation Sadeque Hossain Khoka that it has nothing to do with the renewal of the passport.
Khoka’s elder son Ishraque Hossain in a video message on Saturday said that he was told by the Embassy officials that they had nothing to do with the petition for Nenewal of passport of Khoka and his wife.
He said, If we apply for a travel document, in that case they (the Embassy) will do something for us.
Ishraque went to the Bangladesh Consulate on Saturday with a letter of his mother addressing the Consul General of Bangladesh Consulate with request to realise their situation and provide them with renewal passports as quickly as possible.
He further said that after his parent’s passports expired in 2017, they applied for renewal of the passports to the Consulate, but they did not give any answer yet.
