After trailing 0-2 goals against Bahrain in the opening match of the Group-E of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers on Wednesday last, Bangladesh booters tried to perform attacking football against Bahrain but failed to show accurate attacking football and tested the capability of their opponent goalkeeper.
Bangladesh will take on Turkmenistan in their second Group-E match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia tomorrow. Bangladesh booters worked on Thursday to go quick through the opponents defence as part of attacking football.
Some Bangladesh footballers took part in the recovery session on Thursday. Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Javier Cabrera worked with the rest of the booters to go rapidly for counter attack against their opponents defence.
Bangladesh lost to Bahrain by 0-2 goals in their first match on Wednesday, while Turkmenistan suffered 1-3 goals defeat to hosts Malaysia in their first match on the same day. After ending their match, Jamal Bhuyan and his associates watched the match between Malaysia and Turkmenistan. After watching the match, Assistant Coach of Bangladesh Football team Hasan Al Mamun worked with his boys to resist the players of their opponents in the next match.
Hasan Al Mamun said, ” We know the strength and position of our opponents teams. We want to make our defence strong and also go rapidly in counter attack to our opponents. We want that a large number of footballers take part in the counter attack.”
He said, ” We are taking preparation for the next match. We expected that our boys would perform better against Bahrain. However, we have a good opportunity to do well in the next match.”
