UNB, Dhaka :
Bangladesh and Bhutan are jointly planning to set up an organisation here, ‘International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Institute’, aiming to expand the tourism sector and create skilled manpower.
“We’re now preparing a project proposal to that end,” Chairman of the Bangladesh Foundation for Tourism Development HM Hakim Ali told UNB on Wednesday.
He said they will initially train up students at Holiday Villa, a hotel in the city, and will take a building on rent for running the activities.
Hakim Ali, also President of Bangladesh International Hotel Association and CEO of Hotel Agrabad, said they are also in discussion to utilise a Saarc fund for the project.
A delegation, led by the chairman of Bhutan International School of Hospitality and Tourism, discussed with their Bangladesh counterparts establishing the institute jointly.
