The third and final unofficial one-dayer between Bangladesh A and West Indies A was abandoned due to rain in Gros Islet on Saturday. Chasing a modest target of 239, Bangladesh lost two openers early with last match’s centurion Naim Sheikh (3) and Saif Hassan (2). However, Soumya Sarkar showed patience and build up a partnership with skipper Mohammad Mithun. Mithun departed for 20 off 41, while Soumya remained unbeaten on 30, featuring four boundaries. Bangladesh could play only 15.4 overs and were stranded on 61-3 when the rain interrupted the series decider game. Earlier, the hosts scored 238-9 in 50 overs, thanks to 60 from Teddy Bishop and 43 from Tagenarine Chanderpaul.
