Bangladesh and Afghanistan became joint-champions in the OBHAI Tri-nation T20 series as the final match was not held due to heavy downpour at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Tuesday.
After inspecting the ground at 9.05 PM, Match Referee Graeme Labrooy called off the final match. Thus according to the by-laws of the tournament, Tournament Committee declared that Bangladesh and Afghanistan as the joint-champions of the meet.
No ball was delivered and the no hit from the bat was played on Tuesday. Thus, favourites Bangladesh had to share the trophy with Afghanistan.
