Spirited Bangladesh Cricket team will take on Afghanistan Cricket team in their second Twenty20 International (T20I) match of the two-match Ispahani Limited T20I series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur today. The match begins at 3.00pm. Private satellite channel GTV and private sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the arena. Bangladesh team posted a massive 61-run victory against Afghanistan team in their first T20I match at the same venue on Thursday.
Before today’s T20I match, Bangladesh and Afghanistan took part in seven T20I matches. Of them, Bangladesh won three games, while Afghanistan registered four victories.
It is a good news for Bangladesh team that ace batsman Mushfiqur Rahim is totally fit. He got injury on his finger on Wednesday. Later, Mushfiqur Rahim was ruled out from the first T20I. Mushfiqur Rahim is going to play his 100th T20I matches.
Liton Das hit a sparkle 60 in the first T20I match against Afghanistan. Though Nasum Ahmed was adjudged the Man of the Match for his terrific bowling performance. He captured four wickets in the space of 10 runs.
Liton Das was not included in the T20 World Cup as he was out of form. Liton did not get chance in the outgoing T20I series against Pakistan. But Liton got success in his return to the shortest version cricket competition against Afghanistan.
Liton said, ” I have gotten chance in the T20I series against Afghanistan. T20 format is a different type of cricket competition. A batter can get enough time in ODI match, while a batter can get huge time in Test cricket. On the other hand, there is a rush in T20I cricket. T20I match is a different ball game. I tried to give cent percent effort in the last T20I match against Afghanistan.”
He said, ” It is very important to set ones mind in the game of T20I. I can carry the bat. So, I get success.”
