State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki on Friday said Bangladesh has set an example of women empowerment before the world.
“The whole world is following Bangladesh as a role model of women empowerment. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the pioneer of women empowerment,” she said while addressing a rally.
Chumki said as the government has taken different programmes, the country’s rural economy is now stronger than many developing countries.
She said when Awami League takes state power, women get empowered and they get their proper dignity.
Earlier, the junior minister inaugurated a five-storey building of Kishoreganj Zilla Mahila Sangstha.
