Bangladesh Chhatra Union, Chittagong Unit leaders blamed government for masterminding the militant directly and indirectly .This was disclosed by the leaders of Chatra Union , Chittgong District Unit at a rally arranged at Cheragir pahar square on Thursday .
The speakers in the rally said wife of courageous police officer Babul Akhter SP was brutally killed by chopping and bullet on June 5 last by the assailants in Chittagong . A number of intellectuals, teachers, cultural activists, bloogers, priests was killed one after another by the militants, speakers added. Whereas Home Minister blasted these incidents as a straw incidents ,which proves that govt is patronizing them , speakers alleged. The rally said govt should bring the killers under umbrella of law immediately. They also demanded banning of religious based political parties in the country.
District president of Chhatra Union Simul Bhaisnab presided the rally duly conducted by general secretary Nahid Al Mostafa. Later a procession was brought from the Cheragi pahar which paraded the city roads, sources said.
