A three-day ICT summit of the Asia and Oceania region-2016 ‘ASOCIO ICT Summit’ has started at Yangon, Myanmar from November 14. On the first day of the summit, the General Assembly and election of ASOCIO was held. President of Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) Ali Ashfak was elected Vice-Chairman of this apex ICT organization of the region for the term 2017-2018.
The present ASOCIO Chairman Bunrak Saraggananda of Thailand chaired the General Assembly, in which David Wong has been elected as the new Chairman of this organization.
Newly elected Vice-Chairman of ASOCIO Ali Ashkaf told “of course, this is a great achievement for Bangladesh. ‘Smart City’ is one of the visionary programs of ASOCIO. Bangladesh will be inclined with this program and this will bring immense benefit for Bangladesh, I strongly believe”.
