CU Correspondent:At least 15 activists of Chhatra League and Chhatra Shibir were injured in a clash on Friday over a trifling matter.Following to the clash the activists of Chhatra League looted some 20 laptops, mobiles and other necessary instruments from A F Rahman and Alaol Hall while they were vandalizing over 120 rooms of the two dormitories.Eyewitness and police sources said, the activists of Shibir chanted derogatory remarks when the activists of Chhatra League while they went to football improved the field, adjacent to the Alaol Hall to play a match. Following this, the activists of Chhatra League came to the Shah Jalal Hall and Shah Amanat Hall some time later and locked into clash, Shibir activists injuring at least 15 personbs. The injured were identified were as Hasan, SM Masum Khan, Zahangir Alom, Zames and Mir Hossain, supporters of Chhatra League and Habibullah, Firuj, Uzzol and Badiuzzaman, supporters of Badiuzzaman of Shibir. AFM Nizam, ASP of Hathazari Circle said that on hearing the news they rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.Proctor Siraj-ud-Daula, told the New Nation that the situation is now completely normal.
