Chhatra League , Chittagong College unit staged protest rally in Chittagong protesting the heinous attack on Chemistry Laboratory of the college on dark night of Friday .
The students belong to the ruling party supported student wing -Chhatra League brought out a protest procession from college square which paraded the Chowkazar, Gulzer crossing and chowkbazar thana premises yesterday afternoon. Among others, city Chhatra League leaders Saiful Islam, Kamrul Huda Pavel, Mostafa kamal, Mahmudul Karim, and sohel rana spoke on the occasion.
The speakers in the rally demanded immediate arrest of the students belong to chatra shibir for alleged vandalism in college lab.
Meanwhile an incident of chase , counter chase happened in between two factions of chatra league infront of Shilpakala Academy in city on Friday night.
Chowkbazar thana officer incharge Aziz Ahmed told that following the factional clash within the Chhatra League groups, the traffic movement in pabartak area stranded for some time.
After presence of the law enforcers the supporters of both the groups quickly escaped f rom the spot, sources said.
