Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) yesterday staged black flag demonstration in the city protesting the simultaneous bomb attack in 63 districts across the country on August 17 in 2005.
Carrying black flags and chanting various anti-terrorism and anti-militancy slogans.
leaders and workers of BCL brought out a procession from Madhu’s Canteen on the campus of Dhaka University (DU).
The marchers paraded different streets on the campus and assembled at a rally in front of the sculpture ‘Aparajeo Bangla’ (Undefeatable country). BCL president Saifur Rahman Sohag presided over the rally, also addressed, among others, by general secretary SM Zakir Hossain, office secretary Delwar Hossain Shahzada, DU unit BCL president Abid Al Hasan and general secretary Motahar Hossain Prince.
