600 injured: BCL President led attacks, says Fakhrul

Staff Reporter :BNP acting Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, claimed the attack on BNP leaders and activists in Dhaka’s Bakshibazar area on Wednesday, was led by Bangladesh Chhatra League President Badiuzzaman Sohag.Over six hundred people were injured in the attack, he claimed.Fakhrul Islam said this at a press briefing at BNP central office in Dhaka on Wednesday.Fakhrul said, BNP will hold protest rallies in district towns across the country, including Dhaka city tomorrow (Friday).Fakhrul also said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia went to appear before the makeshift court on the Dhaka Alia Madrasah ground in the Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases. A number of people, including party leaders and activists, were present there to welcome her.Then Chhatra League, Juba League, and Awami League miscreants, led by BCL president, attacked them. The attack was organised with the support of police and RAB, Fakhrul added.
