Two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League, student wing of the ruling Awami League scuffled at Saheed Shamsuzzoha Hall of Rajshahi University on Sunday night over a trivial matter.
Hall sources said, Sheikh Himel, a member of BCL RU unit went to fellow activist, Didarul Islam Didar’s room to drink water. The duo activists locked in an altercation as Didar who is junior to Himel, did not maintain the seniority while conversing.
At one stage of altercation, Didar, president of RU BCL marketing department unit, along with his roommate, Asif, beat up Himel, sources also said.
Being informed the followers of the Himel went to the Didar’s room and beat up Asif, a BCL activist says wishing anonymity.
