Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Chittagong College unit on Wednesday attacked Keari Market owned by executed Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mir Quasem Ali in Chittagong city’s Chawkbazar.
BCL activists gathered in the area to prevent pro-Jamaat student organisation Islami Chhatra Shibir who brought out an anti-government procession from Oli Khan Mosque at Chawk Bazar, said police.
But the Shibir men had flown the scene before the BCL men arrived. The latter then broke several window shields of the market with brick pats.
