A faction of Bangladesh Chhatra League has abducted a student of Chittagong University yesterday.
Mamdud ,a 3rd-year student of Institute of Modern language of CU, was pickd up and demanded 1 lakh taka from his family by abductors .If family fail to fulfill the demand, abductors will hand over Mamdud to police as Shibir man said Maidur elder brother.
The abductors are known as the followers of former BCL secretary Abu Sayeed.
According to source, a group of six BCL activits abducted Mamdur in front of the central library at around 3pm on Sunday. The abductors demanded 1lakh taka and his brother sent five thousand taka through bkash.Mamdud number has been offed since sending 5000 taka at 4:30 pm. Still ,no trace of his has been found so far.
University Proctor Proctor Liton Mitra said that Proctorial body and law enforcement agencies have already started work to rescue the student of the abduction.
However, denying the allegation of abduction and extortion, former CU BCL Joint Secretary Abu Sayeed said that no one of my followers is involved with it. During this time, he also demanded administrative and organizational rigorous action against the accused.
