A former leader of Bangladesh Chattra League Chittagong University Unit yesterday allegedly threatened to kill a Journalist for not putting his name in every news.
Jobaer Chowdhury a CU correspondent of a local daily Purbadesh and also a student of International Ralationship of CU under 2014-15 academic session informed verbally to CU Proctor office and CUJA in this connection.
The BCL leader is known as Rezaul Haque Rubel, a 2007-2008 session student of Statistics Department.
He also known as the follower of Late Awami League Leader Awami League ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
Contracted, Jubaer allegedly said that i was waiting to go Sylhet at the bus station of Garibullah Shah Mazar. Rubel along with two activists came to me and threatend me to kill if I would not put his comment in every news.
Contracted, Rubel denaying the allegation said that did not say anything like that.
Though former CU BCL Vice-President Rubel passed out from the university couple of years ago, he is still staying at the hall by illegally occupying seat.
CU Proctor Ali Asgar Chowdury said Jubaer verbally informed us. We will take action after investigation If the allegation is proved as true.
