A leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was stabbed to death by miscreants near Subahan Market area of Kotra Mohabbatpur village under Begumganj upazila of Noakhali district on Thursday (July 7) noon.
The deceased was identified as Md Hasibul Bashar, 25, son of one late Abul Bashar.
Begumganj upazila BCL General Secretary Rahat Chowdhury said, following previous enmity, miscreants attacked Hasibul, leaving him injured. Later, the victim was sent to local hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
Mir Jahedul Haque Rony, Officer-in-Charge of Begumganj Model Police Station confirmed the matter to the media that this incident happened with the focus on domination. Police immediately arrested one. Attempts are being made to arrest those involved in the incident.
