UNB, Cox’s Bazar :A local leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was hacked to death and two others were injured in a factional clash between two groups of BCL activists at Falia Para in Ukhiya upazila early Friday.The deceased was identified as M Shahin, 22, son of M Kalu, a resident of the area. Shahin was the joint convener of Ukhiya Degree College unit of BCL.Two groups of the upazila unit of BCL had been at loggerheads over establishing dominance at a fair organised by Upazila Tanti League, said officer-in-charge of Ukhiya Police Station M Habibur Rahman.A clash ensued between the two rival groups centering the issue at around 1am, leaving Shahin dead on the spot and two others injured. The injured were whisked off to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
