A Chhatra League (BCL) leader was found hanging at his Father -in-laws’ resident at Gazipur village in Benapole on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Rabiul Islam Sumon 24 joint secretary of Benapole municipality unit BCL and son of Abdul Mannan of Durgapur village in Benapole Port police station.
Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Benapole Port Police Station, said Sumon went to his in-laws resident on Monday morning
Around 10pm. Sumon’s father in law’s family was informed that he committed suicide by hanging himself. Police recovered the body and sent it to Jashore General Hospital morgue for autopsy. It is killed or not , It can’t be said untill the autopsy report OC added.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the hanging body.
Victim’s father Abdul Mannan alleged that Sumon, was killed by his in-laws members , He was killed in a planned way and his body was hanged to make it appear that he committed suicide.
