A case has been filed against 50-60 leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) including 17 by names after the clashes on Dhaka University Campus on May 26.
DU Dr Muhammad Shahidullah Hall unit BCL president Zahidul Islam Zahid lodged the case with Shahbagh Police Station on Friday.
Moudut Hawlader, Officer-in-Charge of Shahbagh Police Station confirmed the matter.
According to case dockets, the JCD leaders and activists, include JCD General Secretary Saif Mahmud Jewel, Senior Vice President Rashed Iqbal Khan, Senior Joint
General Secretary Rakibul Islam, Organizing Secretary Abu Afsan Mohammad Yhaya, DU unit Convener Akhtar Hossain and Member Secretary Amanullah Aman, attacked the general students and BCL men with sticks and iron rods with the intent to kill.
Earlier, Dhaka University administration filed a case against 300-400 unidentified people at Shahbagh Police Station.
